A Study of Rhagophthalmidae and Lampyridae in Hong Kong with descriptions of new species (Coleoptera): Part 1

Abstract

Intensive surveys of firefly populations in Hong Kong were carried out between October 2009 and July 2013, in all months of the year. Biological and ecological information including data on habitats, distribution flash communication and seasonality are provided and discussed here. Taxonomy and descriptions of new species will follow in part 2.
